The Monastery Manchester is a stunning and unique wedding venue close to the city centre. We always enjoy working at the monastery, and providing the flowers for Jo & Dani’s wedding there in the summer was an absolute pleasure. I would like to say a massive thank you to their fabulous wedding photographer Leah of Leah Henson Photography who has very kindly sent some gorgeous photos for me to share with you all!
Jo wanted to create a classic and romantic atmosphere for the wedding using subtle shades of ivory, nude and blush pink mixed with silver, pale gold and rose gold accessories. The flowers we used for the wedding included stunning blush pink Sweet Avalanche roses, Avalanche roses, Vendella roses, spray roses, phlox and hydrangea.
For Jo’s wedding bouquet we designed an elegant and natural hand tied of ivory roses, white hydrangea and phlox mixed with eucalyptus and olive foliage. Jo especially wanted peonies including in her bouquet but due to it being too late in the season for fresh peonies we discussed an alternative of including high quality silk peonies which worked perfectly. This also meant that she would have a few stems from her bouquet that she would be able to keep as a memento after the wedding.
To decorate the aisle for their wedding ceremony we displayed tall arrangements on plinths at the start and end of the aisle, with floating candles in glass cylinders and scattered petals arranged along either side of the aisle.
The signing table was decorated with a selection of small vases filled with delicate clusters of roses and phlox. These were then used to decorate the top table for the reception along with pillar candles and floating candles in glass vases.
The four tall arrangements from the ceremony were then used as table centrepieces during the reception. On the other guest tables we designed a cluster style centrepiece of small vases filled with ivory, nude and blush flowers with candles on stands and glass cylinders with floating candles.
Thank you again to Leah Henson Photography for the beautiful photos!
