Claire and James got married at All Saint’s Church in Ashton on Mersey and their wedding reception took place at the Copthorne Hotel, in Manchester. The theme for the wedding was Hollywood glamour, with a colour scheme of ivory, gold and black with hints of dusky vintage tones.
The white and cream wedding flowers in the designs included, ivory Avalanche roses, creamy champagne Artemis roses and white hydrangea. For the elements of gold I used antique gold skeleton leaves, mixed with the vintage tones of beautiful Amnesia roses.
For Claire’s bouquet I created a hand tied design including ivory, creamy champagne and dusky lilac roses, mixed with gold skeleton leaves.
To co-ordinate the bridesmaid bouquet had a mix of white and cream wedding flowers, including Avalanche and Artemis roses, mixed with delicate gold skeleton leaves.
For James’ buttonhole and the other male guests, they each had a single Amnesia rose with delicate variegated pittosporum greenery.
The ladies were given ivory rose corsages with variegated greenery and ivory skeleton leaves, to be worn on their jackets.
At All Saints Church they asked for simple decorations along the aisle, so we decided on white hydrangea heads with trailing greenery to be displayed on the ends of some of the pews. These were tied with an ivory ribbon bow.
The ivory, gold and black colour scheme continued at the reception venue, the Copthorne Hotel Manchester. The venue dressing included alternating black and gold organza sashes on each chair, organza swagging along the front of the top table, bay trees and goldfish bowl centrepieces displayed on large table mirrors.
The top table was decorated with a mixed foliage garland, interspersed with ivory and cream roses as well as scattered rose petals and organza swags.
The goldfish bowl centrepieces were filled with crystal gel, white and cream rose heads and swirls of gold grass. These were displayed on a large round mirror decorated with rose petals and crystals.
