Our lovely friends Sarah & Chris got married at St. Mary’s Church in Rostherne and had their winter wedding reception at Owen House Wedding Barn in Mobberley, Cheshire. The wedding flowers and decorations were designed in a winter, rustic style to reflect the season and style of the venue.

The colour scheme for the flowers was ivory and grey, with just a hint of blush pink in the bridal bouquet. We used a beautiful mix of flowers and foliage including roses, spray roses, ranunculus, lisianthus, gypsophila, eryngium thistle, silver brunia, senecio, eucalyptus, ivy and pine cones.

Sarah’s bridal bouquet was a hand tied design with lots of different flower varieties, creating more texture. To soften around the edges we had trailing eucalyptus and ivy foliage.

The bridesmaids’ each had a similar style winter wedding bouquet to co-ordinate with the bride. Their bouquets were slightly smaller and a more neutral colour scheme without the blush pink. The mix of white, ivory and grey worked beautifully against their grey bridesmaids dresses.

For the Groom and Best man’s buttonhole we provided a single ivory rose with gypsophila and eucalyptus foliage. The Groomsmen and Dads were each given a gypsophila cluster buttonhole. Both styles were finished with a grey ribbon tie.

At St. Mary’s Church, in Rostherne we decorated the pew ends for their wedding ceremony with tied arrangements of roses, lisianthus, gypsophila and eucalyptus. After the ceremony they took each arrangement to tie on the backs of chairs at the wedding reception.

To decorate either side of the altar we created hand tied bouquets to match the pew ends which were displayed in the church vases.

For Chris and Sarah’s wedding reception at Owen House Barn we decorated the barn venue with flowers and fairy lights to create a rustic winter styled reception.

On the guest tables they chose to hire our silk centrepiece arrangements, with tall blossom branches. The designs create a natural woodland feel and with the added pine cones and spruce foliage, they also reflect the season and co-ordinated perfectly with their pine cone place card holders.

Fairy lights were draped from the ceiling beams along with decorative wicker balls dressed with fairy lights which were hung in the centre.

Fresh flowers and foliage were used to decorate their long top table, we created a long display filled with roses, gypsophila, lisianthus, thistle, pine cones, spruce branches, eucalyptus and trailing ivy. We also added fairy lights along the length of the display to match the ceiling decorations.

For their wedding table plan they decided to use a rustic wooden crate with cards for each guest table. We designed a natural, winter arrangement in the crate including spruce and ivy foliage, roses, gypsophila and lisianthus.

To decorate the bar area we created tall columns of willow branches decorated with fairy lights.

As always it was a pleasure to work with our lovely friend Francesca at the Cheshire Cat Cake Company who made the most beautiful naked wedding cake and cupcakes for the wedding.
