If you are looking for inspiration for a natural, woodland styled wedding then take a look at this gorgeous wedding we worked on earlier in the year at Peckforton Castle with our beautiful wisteria wedding trees. It was an absolute pleasure working with Sophie & Josh to style their wisteria woodland wedding and great to work with a fantastic team of suppliers including Hayley Baxter Photography, who very kindly sent me some stunning images to share, along with Marry Me Films and Jo’s Couture Cakes.
The styling and colour theme for the wedding were based on Sophie’s birthstone Emerald and her stunning Wisteria wedding dress from Blackburn Bridal Couture. We also included their birth flowers, lily of the valley and aster.
For Sophie’s bouquet we designed a long trailing shower bouquet of white and ivory flowers with greenery. She had a gorgeous mix of freesia, lily of the valley, aster, jasmine, lisianthus and artificial trailing wisteria.
The bridesmaids each had a hand tied textured bouquet of mixed greenery, aster and freesia to compliment their full length emerald green dresses. The little flower girls each carried a small basket of olive leaves to scatter along the aisle.
Our luxury, artificial wisteria trees can transform your ceremony and reception rooms into a whimsical and romantic forest setting and really create the feeling of bringing the outdoors in. If you have a large, dramatic space to dress like the Great Hall at Peckforton Castle, especially with high ceilings our beautiful wedding trees are high impact displays that will wow your guests. For Josh and Sophie’s wedding ceremony the wisteria trees were placed on white plinths lining either side of the aisle, along with pillar candles in glass cylinders. The Minstrels gallery was dressed with natural willow branches decorated with artificial greenery, blossom branches, trailing wisteria and tea lights in hanging glass baubles.
Their wedding breakfast was held in the Drawing Room at Peckforton Castle where we moved the wisteria trees after the ceremony to use as centrepieces for each guest table. To add more detail on the tables, we decorated around the base with small fresh flower arrangements designed to match the bouquets, along with log slice tea light holders and large table mirrors. We have a great selection of extra decor items available to hire, such as candle and tea light holders to suit a variety of styles, take a look at our venue styling pages for more information.
The top table featured a gorgeous full length display of mixed greenery, aster, freesia, lisianthus, artificial blossom and trailing wisteria. This long, elegant display worked beautifully with the wisteria wedding tree centrepieces. For extra candle light we also included hurricane vases with pillar candles which were placed along the table on natural log slices.
Their elegant wedding cake was created by the very talented Jo’s Couture Cakes with fresh ruscus greenery rings around the tiers.
