Shrigley Hall: Pink and green wedding flowers

Posted in Pink Wedding Flowers, Summer Wedding Flowers

A couple of months ago I had the pleasure of working at the beautiful Shrigley Hall¬†Cheshire providing wedding flowers for Kadie and Andy’s wedding. The colour scheme for the wedding was white, ivory, pink and mint green.

For Kadie’s bouquet she had asked for a hand tied teardrop shape in shades of white, dusky pink, pale pink and pale green. To create a soft, textured look we used Sweet Avalanche roses, white aster, dusky pink lisianthus, pale green carnations and delicate, variegated pittosporum foliage.

The bridesmaids were wearing pale green dresses, so to co-ordinate with Kadie’s bouquet we designed hand tied posy bouquets with the same mix of roses, lisianthus, aster, carnations and pittosporum.

The two young flower girls were given small carnation domed bouquets.

To co-ordinate with the bouquets they decided to have blush pink Sweet Avalanche roses for the buttonholes, and nestled against each rose was a delicate, soft green feather.

The mums were given pretty wrist corsages with ivory roses, each design had beading and silk petal details to co-ordinate with the colour of their outfit.

In the ceremony room at Shrigley Hall  we designed floral arrangements in pink, green and ivory, displayed at the front and back of the room, to co-ordinate with the venue dressing.

For the reception decorations we created tall designs using conical vases filled with ivy trails and fairylights. On the top of each vase was an arrangement in ivory, pink and green including roses, lisianthus and chrysanthemums. For additional height each design featured large ivory ostrich feathers.

Rather than a traditional long top table, they decided to have a round table in the centre of the room for their head table. For their centrepiece we created a low design in a glass cylinder vase, with a similar domed floral arrangement to the tall centrepieces. Flowers included, Sweet avalanche roses, pink lisianthus and lime green chrysanthemum.
