Rachel and Phil’s wedding reception took place at the White Hart, Lydgate. As well as providing various floral arrangements and venue dressing at the White Hart we also provided all the bridal party flowers, including bouquets, buttonholes, corsages and a pretty wand for their flower girl.
The colour scheme for the wedding was white and pale blue. In the summer the best pale blue wedding flowers available are hydrangea and delphinium.
Rachel particularly liked white calla lilies, so for her bouquet we designed a hand tied of pale blue hydrangea, single delphinium flowers and white calla lilies.
The bridesmaids were wearing pale blue dresses so to co-ordinate with the bridal bouquet and stand out against the dresses we used a combination of white hydrangea and pale blue delphinium flowers.
For Phil’s buttonhole and the groomsmen we used single white calla lilies, with a small delphinium flower head to add a hint of the pale blue.
The ladies were given a delicate white orchid corsage to wear on their jackets.
For their flower girl we decorated a pretty silver star wand with a blue delphinium flower and trailing ribbons.
For the reception room decorations at the White Hart I created floral arrangements for the head table and guest tables. The white and blue wedding flowers were used throughout all the designs and co-ordinated beautifully with the white chair covers and blue bows.
Along the top table we had blue organza swags to match the blue chair sashes and three large blue and white flower arrangements. Each arrangement was filled with hydrangea, delphinium, gypsophila and large chrysanthemum blooms.
In between each large arrangement we also displayed mini hydrangea arrangements in silver pots for extra decoration.
Above the top table area we hung a selection of pretty silver, blue and cream hearts on pearl garlands.
On each guest table we used our tall silver candelabra, decorated with pearl garlands and featuring a large arrangement of white and blue wedding flowers. For extra height we added beautiful white calla lilies extending from the centre with decorative silver branches.
At the entrance to the Oak Room we positioned two artificial bay trees either side of the door. They were decorated with blue and white flowers to co-ordinate with the theme, along with a pretty blue wicker heart.
