Your reception venue is where you’ll be spending the most time, it will be the setting for your wedding breakfast and most likely the evening entertainment. I would usually recommend spending more of your budget on the decorations here, but this may depend on the style of the venue and on your personal taste.
We have provided wedding reception flowers for venues all over Cheshire, Manchester and Lancashire and we are happy to offer advice on the different types of arrangements that will suit the style of the venue and suggest the areas which need decorations.
There are so many different styles to choose from for wedding table decorations, the main things to consider are choosing a design that will suit your theme and the style and decor in your reception room. If you are looking to create a country garden wedding or rustic theme you might want to look at a more informal and eclectic centrepiece, such as a selection of decorative vases filled with clusters of flowers or a natural, tied posy displayed in a recycled glass jar or cylinder vase. Or if you are looking for an elegant and sophisticated design we have silver mercury glass stands to display a pretty floral arrangement, or glass hurricane vases which can be displayed in the centre of the table with a mixed floral arrangement around the base.
If your reception room has high ceilings or you are looking for a dramatic centrepiece to wow your guests, I would recommend possibly having taller flower arrangements to create more impact or possibly a mix of tall and low designs. Depending on the look and atmosphere you want to create you could consider incorporating elegant candelabras decorated with flowers, or perhaps a tall glass vase featuring a large floral arrangement.
Top Table Flowers
To decorate a long, traditional top table you will most likely want to look at low arrangements which either run along the whole length of the table or just in front of the bride & groom. Some of the options you may want to consider include a ‘long and low’ oblong shaped arrangement which is displayed in front of the bride and groom, a mixed flower and foliage garland or a selection of small vases of flowers interspersed with pillar candles, arranged along the length of the table.
To create a romantic, vintage feel we have beautiful mercury glass candle stands and glass bon bon dishes which can be decorated with small floral arrangements and arranged along the table with scattered petals or crystals. For a more modern design we have martini glasses to match our tall guest table martini vases. These can be displayed along the table and filled with rose heads or floating candles. We can also provide glass vases to display the bride and bridesmaids bouquets on the top table during the reception.
