Katie & Thomas got married in the summer at Owen House Barn, a fabulous rustic barn wedding venue in the cheshire countryside. The colour scheme for their wedding flowers was ivory, dusky pink and pale blue. They had a gorgeous mix of flowers including Faith & Sweet Avalanche roses, spray roses, delphinium, gypsophila, eryngium, lavender and stocks.
Katie’s rustic wedding bouquet included a variety of different flowers to create a more textured design. We used a combination of large headed dusky pink roses, navy blue thistle, blush pink spray roses, pale blue delphinium, ammi and gypsophila.
The bridesmaids each carried a smaller bouquet of gypsophila, eryngium thistle and eucalyptus foliage. The stems were part bound with natural hessian.
To co-ordinate with the bouquets the Groom and Groomsmen each wore a cluster buttonhole of eryngium thistle, gypsophila and eucalyptus. To reflect the rustic wedding style each buttonhole was finished with natural twine detail.
We designed a delicate flower crown for Katie to wear for the wedding, which included spray roses, dendrobium orchids and gypsophila with mixed greenery.
For their ceremony and reception decorations at Owen House Barn Katie & Thomas wanted rustic rustic venue styling and natural flower arrangements to co-ordinate with the bouquets and buttonholes. We worked with our friends at Perfect Weddings who provided lots of rustic accessories and the gorgeous table over lays.
The top table was dressed with a long garland style arrangement of roses, delphinium, dried lavender, gypsophila and eryngium thistle mixed with eucalyptus, trailing ferns and ivy.
We also created a hanging flower display as a decorative backdrop behind the top table. Tied bunches of lavender, gypsophila, delphinium and thistle were hung with rustic twine, along with single rose stems to give the effect of being hung up to be dried.
To decorate the signing table in the ceremony room we used a section of the top table arrangement which was then placed back for the reception.
Glass hurricanes, lanterns and log slices were arranged by Perfect Weddings along with out rustic jars of flowers. These decorations were then used to create cluster centrepieces on the guest tables for their wedding reception in the main barn.
To create more impact in the room we designed three statement flower rings which were hung from the ceiling in the barn. These decorations were created with co-ordinating silk flowers and trailing silk petals.
We also provided lots of smaller arrangements for extra decorations around the venue, including milk churn flower arrangements and tied displays of flowers in watering cans as well more glass jars filled with clusters of flowers to decorate the window sils, wooden crates and entrance decor. All these extra details really helped create the rustic barn wedding Katie & Thomas had envisaged for their special day.
The table plan was displayed around a white vintage ladder, dressed with jars of flowers and trailing ivy.
We also got to work with Bloomsbury Wedding Cakes who created this beautiful naked wedding cake which worked perfectly in the natural barn setting.
