Winter Wedding Flowers

There are lots of beautiful faux flowers and foliage available to reflect the winter season, whether your wedding theme is a rustic winter woodland, frosty white with a hint of sparkle or classic red and gold. Flowers such as roses, anemone, orchids and hellebore are popular choices for winter weddings and are often mixed with berries, thistles, pine cones and winter greenery.

Winter wedding styles

If are looking to create a rustic, woodland theme for your winter wedding then I would recommend unstructured, natural style bouquets and arrangements. To reflect the theme I would suggest incorporating a mix of flowers and winter foliage, including berries and frosty branches so the designs have a relaxed, gathered look rather than too neat and formal. If you are unsure on colours, I would start by considering what will work best with the colour you have in mind for the bridesmaids dresses.
Alternatively if you are planning a glamorous winter wonderland with snow and sparkles then you may prefer more modern arrangements with very little or no foliage. I would recommend bouquets with only a few varieties of flowers or even a neat compact bouquet of roses or peonies for a simple and elegant look.

One of the most popular choices are long and low arrangements which can be used on the registrar table during the wedding ceremony and then placed in front of the bride and groom on the top table for the wedding breakfast. This type of arrangement can be designed to match with the style and colours of your bouquet, so if you choose a rustic, unstructured bouquet the arrangement can be designed in the same style with trailing greenery and lots of different flower varieties and textures.
