Winter wedding flowers and decorations – Pure Weddings Magazine Feature

Posted in White Wedding Flowers, Winter Wedding Flowers

If you are looking for some inspiration and decoration ideas for your winter wedding, then I have some gorgeous photos to share you, filled with lots of wintery accessories to create the perfect elegant winter wedding, including pretty winter wedding flowers.

I was recently involved in a styled shoot with Jan Clarke from Pretty Telling, for an article in the latest issue of Pure Weddings Magazine. The shoot took place at the fabulous Styal Lodge, a beautifully unique wedding venue in Styal, Cheshire. It was a great day and lovely to work with so many wonderful suppliers, including awesome photographer Alex Davies, and wedding cake designer Beth, from Cakes By Beth.

As well as providing floral decorations for the shoot Jan had asked if I could provide some bespoke hair accessories to co-ordinate with the bridal gowns. The circlet shown below is a silver, fairytale inspired headdress, adorned with Swarovski crystals.

The bridal bouquet is a hand tied, textured design filled with delicate dendrobium orchids, roses and lisianthus, adorned with crystals and diamante.

I designed a low centrepiece for the table setting, with a large domed floral arrangement displayed on a glass cylinder vase filled with clear crystal gel. The arrangement is filled with roses, lisianthus, carnations, gypsophila, eucalyptus and ‘frosty’ pine cones. The centrepiece is displayed on a large mirror with scattered artificial snow.

For extra decorations, possibly on your present table, decorating the bar area or arranged along a fireplace these beautiful silver mercury glass votives and candle stands work perfectly with fresh flowers and/ or candles.

The other wedding tiara I created to suit a ¬†wintery themed wedding is this ‘snow queen’ crown, with Swarovski crystals and semi precious crystal chips.

To add the wow factor, and set the scene for your wintery wedding, the large urn arrangements shown below look fantastic either side of a door way. Each urn is filled with delicate, snowy gypsophila and tall silver, ‘frosted’ twigs, decorated with hanging crystals.
